Butts Giraud Pro Blues Harp player can be found playing his “Silver Magic” around Canada and the USA. From Vancouver Island, Maui , Boise Idaho, Nashville, Memphis, Clarksdale ,Mississippi to Birmingham, Alabama. Mentored by pro musicians Rob Weaver, Gerry Barnum, JP Allen, Jon Gindick, Rj Mischo, TJ Klay, Cheryl Arena and Brian Purdy. Butts Giraud credit goes to Jon Gindick’s Harmonica Jam Camp in Clarksdale Mississippi. It is there where Giraud honed in on his musical talents. Butts Giraud is a former pro athlete playing football with the with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers who also had a 11 year pro wrestling carrier in the USA, Canada, Iraq, and Great Britian.
Giraud, who now lives in Nanaimo BC, can be heard sitting in with his harmonica with such ‘Blues Greats” as Sam Hurrie and Dennis Fox of Powell River fame. Coming to Texada Island is always a treat for Butts, as he enjoys staying with his long time friends Warren and Doriana Kiland. Giraud and Kiland were World Champion divers in years gone by.
