Walter Martella is Powell River’s most prominent musical son – Music Director of the Powell River Academy of Music, Artistic Director of the Kathaumixw Choral Festival, conductor of choral groups, trumpeter and piano instructor, accordianist and head of his own jazz trio. Many people don’t know that Walter has released seven albums which feature his exceptional solo piano work.
